The Programme Educational Objectives of the B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering programme of National Institute of Technology Silchar are:

1. To provide students with a strong foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals necessary to formulate, solve and analyse Computer Science & Engineering problems.
2. To enable them to use evolving technologies to address contemporary issues in innovative way for real life problems in Comput er Science and Engineering field and related domains.
3. To inculcate professionalism among the students by infusing leadership qualities, team spirit, effective communication skills, high ethical values and empathy for the needs of society.
